TRIM AND TILT REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION Remove the unit from the stern brackets far enough to remove the ground lead from the pump motor mounting screwInstall external snap rings onto upper pin with sharp edge facing out

Installation
Install the ground leadPosition the hydraulic unit between the stern bracketsApply Triple-Guard grease to the lower pin and install the pinIf loosened, torque the tilt tube nut to 50 to 54 ftlbs(68 to 73 Nm), then loosen the nut by 18 to 14 turnInstall external snap rings on lower pin with sharp edge of ring facing out
