WARNING
Replace locknut if definite resistance is not feltTorque starboard tilt tube nut to 50 to 54 ftlbs(68 to 73 Nm), then loosen nut 18 to 14 turn
Pull tilt tube from stern bracket with the slide hammerWhen tilt tube clears the port stern bracket, remove tilt tube from the spacer
Installation
Thread starboard end of tilt tube into the spacerThread the adapter onto port end of tilt tubeUse wood or leather mallet to tap the tilt tube into position30741
