REMOVAL
WARNING
Protect against hazardous fuel sprayBefore starting any fuel system service, carefully relieve fuel system pressureRefer to Relieving Fuel System PressureTo prevent accidental starting while servicing, disconnect the battery cables at the battery
Loosen port side cover slightly, and disconnect trimtilt switch connectorThen, remove port and starboard covers
IMPORTANT: Reinstall fasteners, nuts, and
bolts in their holes as engine components are removedThis will simplify identification and assemblyLoosen screw and remove the air silencerRemove lower engine cover screws, including one at inside, top rear1Trimtilt switch connector 002151
