Timing Pointer
The timing pointer must be adjusted to indicate "top dead center" (TDC) of the number pistonThis reference to the position of the number piston is used to synchronize the electronic timing controlled by the EMM with the mechanical position of the number piston

WARNING
To prevent accidental starting while servicing, remove emergency stop lanyard and disconnect the battery cables at the batteryTurn the key switch OFF and disconnect the battery cables at the batteryRemove spark plugsRotate the flywheel clockwise to 30 ATDCInstall Piston Stop Tool, PN 342679, into the spark plug hole of the number cylinder
