ENGINE MANAGEMENT MODULE (EMM) SENSORS AND FUNCTIONS Oil Pressure Switch The oil pressure switch monitors oil pressure in the oil distribution manifoldThe switch requires approximately psi (48 kPa) (nominal) to closeIf the switch fails to indicate pressure in the oil distribution manifold, the EMM: Activates S.A.F.EStores service code 38 Initiates EMM NO OILOVERHEAT LED Initiates the SystemCheck NO OIL light If the switch indicates constant pressure (no changes) in oil distribution manifold, the EMM: Stores service code 32 Initiates EMM SENSOR FAULT LED If the TPS sensor circuit indicates above 4.85 volts, the EMM: Stores service code 14 Initiates EMM SENSOR FAULT LED If the TPS sensor circuit indicates above 0.65 volts when the key is turned to the ON position, the EMM: Initiates service code 11 If the outboard is started, the code is storedIf code 11 is present as both Hard Fault and Stored Fault, refer to Control Cable Adjustments on p54
