The Engine Management Module (EMM) is water-cooled microprocessorIt controls numerous outboard systems including alternator output for the 12 and 55 circuitsThe stator provides the EMM with voltage inputs that are essential to alternator outputThis section discusses the functions of the EMM and the various internal and external sensorsThe process for retrieving service codes stored in the EMM during engine operation is also presentedThe EMM Service Code Chart located at the back of this manual can be used to reference service code information
