Position outboard in FULL TILT (UP) positionEngage the tilt support bracket

Check battery connections frequentlyPeriodically remove battery to clean and service connections
WARNING
Battery electrolyte is acidichandle with careIf electrolyte contacts any part of the body, immediately flush with water and seek medical attention
Confirm that battery meets the minimum engine

Inspect for fluid leaksRepair all leaksRemove the fill cap and check fluid levelThe fluid level must be even with bottom of the reservoir fill cap hole
