REMOVAL
DISASSEMBLYPull starter rope out of recoil case and guide the rope into notch in the reelTurn reel clockwise to release the tension in the recoil spring
WARNING
Avoid accidental starting of engine while servicing, twist and remove all spark plug leadsWear safety glasses while disassembling and assembling manual starters to avoid personal injury caused by rewind spring tensionLoosen lock nuts and remove NSI cable from cable bracket (stator base)Remove NSI cable from clutch notch lever
