Removal
Loosen the clutch rod lock nutUnscrew the turnbuckle to separate the clutch rod from the shift rod
WARNING
To prevent accidental starting while servicing, twist and remove all spark plug leadsDuring service, the outboard may drop unexpectedlyAvoid personal inJury; always support the outboard's weight with suitable hoist or the tilt support bracket during serviceRemove cotter pin and nut, and all propeller hardware from the gearcaseInspect the condition of the propeller hub
