POWERHEAD CYLINDERCRANKCASEPISTON ASSEMBLY Measure the connecting rod big end inside diameter as follows: Clean the surface of the rod and cap Install the cap on the rod Apply engine oil to screws and tighten to 102 inIbs (12 Nm)Measure connecting rod big end oil clearance as follows: Clean the surfaces of rod, cap, and crankpin Place piece of Plastigage on crank pin parallel to the crankshaftAvoid placing Plastigage over the oil hole
