MAINTENANCE SUBMERGED ENGINES Disassemble all electrical connectors Clean connectors and terminals, and treat with water displacing electrical sprayApply Electrical Grease to terminals prior to reassemblyCoat all exposed solenoid terminals and engine grounds with Black Neoprene DipClean and inspect all electrical components Replace damaged or corroded components prior to returning the outboard to serviceElectric starters should be disassembled, cleaned, flushed with clean water, and treated with water displacing electrical spray prior to reassemblyChange oil and filterRemove carburetor for drainingdisassembly and cleaning Disconnect fuel supply hose from outboardDrain and clean all fuel hoses, filtersand fuel tanksRefill fuel tank with fresh fuelInject small amount of outboard lubricant into spark plug holes and install new spark plugsReinstall all removed or disconnected partsRun the outboard below 1500 RPM for one-half hourChange oil and filter again
