MAINTENANCE TIMING BELT Disconnect starter switch lead wire connector (tiller models)Lift stator base from cylinder block and lay it on port side as shown1Stop switch connector 2Starter switch connector

Remove the PORT side screw securing starter motor band
Rotate the crankshaft, using Crankshaft Holder, PIN 5034236, to align the PUNCH mark on the timing pulley with the INDEX mark on the cylinder block
