MIDSECTION TILT ASSIST CYLINDER &
WARNING
Remove the tilt cylinder lower shaft bolts
When removing or installing any type of retaining rings, wear eye protection to avoid personal injuryRemove the two (2) retaining rings, then push out the tilt cylinder upper shaft and the bushings1Tilt rod lower shaft bolt (2)
Slide the starboard stern bracket fully outward to the right sideRemove the tilt assist cylinder, the lower shaft, the bushing, and the spacers from between the stern bracketsTilt cylinder upper shaft
Remove the two (2) starboard stern bracket nuts and boltsLoosen the starboard clamp screw and the tilt tube nut3
