POWERHEAD REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION To engage the oil pump shaft, install the oil pump stop in the oil pan: Install the stop washer and new stop gasket on the oil pump stop Screw the oil pump stop onto the oil pan (2-3 turns)DO NOT fully tighten the stop To engage the oil pump shaft with the groove in the camshaft, insert and turn screwdriver as shown While holding the oil pump shaft in place with the screwdriver, tighten the oil pump stop to torque of 37 ftIbs(50 Nm) Bend two of the stop washer tabs in opposite directions (one up and one down) Install new gasket on the boltInstall and tighten the bolt to torque of 17 ftIbs(23 Nm)
