Installation
Lubricate both ends of driveshaft coupler with Moly Lube and install on end of driveshaftInstall driveshaft tube
To prevent accidental starting while servicing, twist and remove all spark plug leadsDuring service, the outboard may drop unexpectedlyAvoid personal inJury; always support the outboard's weight with suitable hoist or the tilt support bracket during serviceRemove the propeller from the gearcaseInspect the condition of the propeller hub1Coupler 2Driveshaft
Lightly apply Triple-Guard grease to lower outside diameter of the water tubeInstall the gearcase onto the exhaust housing Guide the water tube into the water tube grommet and the coupler onto the crankshaftRotate the flywheel, if necessaryMake sure the shift rod enters the shift rod bushing of gearcase housing
