OVERHEAT INSPECTION
If the engine has overheated, check the following
items: Check the water cover and exhaust cover gaskets for leakage Remove the cylinder head Inspect the pistons, rings, and cylinders for damageRefer to INSPECTION on p84
REMOVAL
WARNING
To prevent accidental starting of engine while servicing, twist and remove spark plug leadsRemove the engine covers and fuel tank as described in FUEL TANK SERVICE on p67Remove carburetor as described in CARBURETOR SERVICE on p71Remove the manual starter as described in MANUAL STARTER SERVICING on p116Remove the flywheel and ignition components as described in FLYWHEEL SERVICING on p61Remove six (6) screws securing powerhead to exhaust housingRemove powerhead and discard gasket
