CARBURETOR CLEANING AND INSPECTION
Cleaning
Carburetor must be completely disassembledUse clean bristle brush to remove gum or varnish depositsThoroughly clean components with Carburetor and Choke Cleaner
passages, direct the flow of shop air opposite to the direction of fuel flow

Inspection
Inspect carburetor body and float bowl Gasket surfaces must be smoothno nicks or irregularities All nozzles, metal orifices and pickup tubes must be secure and in placeInspect float valve and seat assembly for wear or distortionReplace assembly if damage is noted Check the inlet needle tip for grooves, nicks, scratches, or distortion Check float valve seat for nicks, scratches, or distortion Check float for signs of oil or gasoline saturation
