FUEL SYSTEM FUEL FILTERSHUT-OFF VALVE
Cleaning and Inspection
Inspect fuel tank and shut-off valve for leakageIf leakage occurs, replace componentRemove fuel filter from the shut-off valve and clean itReplace assembly if cloggedInspect cap for damage or leakageReplace, if necessaryFlush tank with clear gasoline or solvent
FUEL FILTERI SHUT-OFF VALVE
The fuel filter and shut-off valve assembly are located in the supply side of the fuel system
Installation
Assemble the shut-off valve to the fuel tankInstall fuel tank on powerhead Tighten screws to torque of 60 to 84 in Ibs(7 to Nm)Connect the fuel hose to the carburetor with tie strapMake certain water indicator hose is in positionMake certain shut-off valve is at OFF positionPlace starboard engine cover on powerhead and align the shut-off valve in positionTighten two screws to hold cover
