FLYWHEEL SERVICING
IMPORTANT: In order to produce the voltage necessary to run an ignition system, the flywheel magnets must be of particular strengthWeak flywheel magnets can cause low ignition voltage which would affect engine performanceWeak flywheel magnets can also cause low readings on ignition test equipment such as the peak-reading voltmeter, which might cause unnecessary replacement of ignition componentsFlywheels rarely go bad and would only be replaced as last resort in solving an ignition problem
Three washers, PIN 307646 Install the puller on flywheel with body flat side upSeat the shoulder screws completelyHold puller by its handle, and tighten pressing screw until flywheel releasesRemove the flywheel
Installation Install the flywheel key with its outer edge parallel to taper of crankshaft
