IGNITION TESTS
Sensor Coil Tests
Output Test
Set peak-reading voltmeter to "pas" and "5," "SEN" and "5" on Stevens CO-77 meterSeparate the blue lead between sensor coil and power packAttach meter black lead to clean engine groundAttach meter red lead to sensor coil blue lead terminal
Calibrate ohmmeterAttach ohmmeter leads between sensor coil blue lead terminal and clean engine ground
Results: Meter must show 50 10 ohmsComplete all circuits disconnected during this test
Power Pack Cranking Output
Crank engine and observe meterResults: If meter shows volt or higher, go Charge Coil Tests on p54 If meter shows less than volt, check condition of wiring and connectors If wiring and connector condition are good, go to Ohmmeter Test
