Ohmmeter Test
Note: All ohmmeter tests must be performed with engine NOT runningCalibrate ohmmeterAttach ohmmeter between the two charge coil leadsleads
Output Test
Set peak-reading voltmeter to
"pas" and "500
Attach black lead to one charge coil lead Attach meter red lead to remaining charge coil leadCrank engine and observe meter
Results: Meter must show 610 60 ohmsTo test for grounded condition, connect ohmmeter alternately between each charge coil lead and clean engine ground1Charge coil leads
