POWERHEAD REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
Installation
Installation is reverse order of removal with special attention to the following: Apply ThreeBond 12078 sealant to areas shown:
Apply ThreeBond 12078 sealant to both surfaces of new base gasket at positions shown and install on oil panApply sealant here
Install dowel pins in oil pan1Apply sealant here
Coat the driveshaft splines with Moly LubeDo not apply lubricant to end of driveshaftLower the powerhead on to oil panIf necessary, rotate crankshaft to align crankshaft and driveshaft splinesApply Gasket Sealing Compound to mounting screwsInstall and tighten screws and two nuts to 198 inIbs(23 Nm)
