Do not set tooth contact in this position (bottom side toe contact)Chipping of pinion gear may result5After adjusting tooth contact pattern, install propeller shaft, housing assembly, reverse gear and related shim washerSRecheck amount of backlash by slightly rotating driveshaft by handBacklash should not be less than when checked before step 1If backlash is less, reduce reverse gear back-up shim thickness
