ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT TESTS
Power Supply Test
STEP Check fuse in engine wire harnessCheck for battery voltage at starter solenoid positive (+) lead OKMark and remove UP and DOWN relaysGo to STEP No voltageCheck wiring from battery and repair as necessarySTEP Connect red voltmeter lead to starter solenoid positive (+) terminalProbe Terminals 85 and 87A of UP and DOWN relay sockets using black meter lead Voltage is indicatedGo to STEP No voltageRepair relay bracket grounds or replace relay bracketSTEP Connect black voltmeter lead to engine ground Probe both Terminal 87 sockets using red meter lead OKGo to Up Circuit Test or Down Circuit Test as required No voltageCheck voltage at starter solenoid terminal OKRepair red wire and connections to relay bracket No voltageRepair battery connection at starter solenoid
