DESCRIPTION OF SYSTEM
The hydraulic unit consists of manifold that contains all valving, fluid reservoir, pump, motor, and cylinderThe hydraulic unit pivots on the lower thrust rod and the piston rod attaches to the underside of the swivel bracketAs the cylinder begins to extend, the first 150 of outboard movement is considered the trim range because the swivel bracket is supported by the port and starboard stern bracketsAs the cylinder continues to extend, the remaining 50 of outboard movement is considered the tilt rangeTotal outboard movement is 65 The outboard can be manually raised or lowered through its entire trim and tilt range by opening the manual release valve minimum of three turnsWhen this cycle is complete, the manual release valve must be closed and torqued 45 to 55 inIbs(5 to Nm) before normal operation can be resumed
