GEARCASE DISASSEMBLY Remove the two shift rod housing screws
Propeller Shaft
Remove the propeller shaft assembly and shift cradle from the gearcase
Pull up on the shift rod and remove the shift rod assembly from the gearcaseShift cradle

Pry the clutch dog retainer spring out of the clutch dog grooveDiscard the spring
