MIDSECTION MIDSECTION AND TILLER ADJUSTMENTS
Throttle Friction Adjustment
40R, 40RL MODELS (OPTIONAL)
Some models are equipped with throttle friction adjustment knob located on the steering handleTighten the knob to reduce the effort required to hold throttle settingTurn the knob: clockwise to increase friction counterclockwise to decrease friction

Trim Angle Adjustment
There are three positions for adjusting the trim angleThe outboard is shipped with the tilt pin in the middle positionThis will be the best position for most boatsIf it is necessary to adjust the trim angle do the following: Place outboard in full tilt position and engage trailering lock Remove locknut Move tilt pin to next holeInstall and tighten locknut 20 to 25 ftIbs(27 to 34 Nm)
