Top of float should touch lower gauge surface but should not touch upper gauge surfaceInstall float chamber and new gasketApply Locquic Primer and Screw Lock to threads of four float chamber screwsInstall screws and torque in an "X" pattern to 25 to 35 inIbs(2.8 to 4.0 Nm)3

If float level is not correct, lightly bend metal float arm to adjust levelBe careful not to force float needle valve into seatCheck for correct float drop dimensionThis dimension affects the full opening of the inlet needle and is critical to correct operation of the carburetorWith carburetor body in normal running position, the float must drop open from base of carburetor body to dimension shown
