Amphenol Connectors
Terminal Removal IMPORTANT: The Amphenol pin and socket terminals are not the same size as Deutsch pin and socket terminalsDO NOT interchange themTo remove terminal from the plug or receptacle, lubricate both ends of the cavity with isopropyl alcoholPick the proper tool for the service being performedRefer to SPECIAL TOOLS on p16 Pin Remover, PIN 322698 Socket Remover, PIN 322699 Crimping Pliers, PIN 322696 Insert Tool, PIN 322697 Place the plug or receptacle against the edge of flat surface with clearance behind connector for terminal to be pushed outPush terminal from connector with appropriate toolCrimp point
Terminal Installation Connect the plug and receptacle before installing terminalApply isopropyl alcohol to connectors, align arrows, and push togetherApply isopropyl alcohol to the terminal cavityPlace connectors against solid surface
