Trim Switch Test
With the key switch OFF, the boat trim switch should activate the tester TRIM UP light when in UP and the TRIM DOWN light when in DOWN If one or both tester lights do not turn on, troubleshoot the trimtilt switch If the switch works backwards, the trim switch wiring is crossedConfirm location of trim wires in connectors
Rotate the propeller shaft and move control handle to FORWARDThe tester START light must not turn on when the key switch is at STARTRotate the propeller shaft and move control handle to REVERSE The tester START light must not turn on when the key switch is at START If the start light turns on when the control handle is in FORWARD or REVERSE, troubleshoot the neutral start switch and yellowred circuitCheck the key switch and remote control for adjustmentMove remote control handle to NEUTRALTurn the engine key switch to STARTThe tester START light must turn on If the start light does not turn on, troubleshoot theyellowred circuit for an openCheck the key SWitchneutral start switch, and remote control adjustment
