IMPORTANT: DO NOT start outboard without a
water supply to the outboard's cooling systemCooling system andor powerhead damage could occur
CAUTION

Fuel System Treatment
Stabilize the boat's fuel supply with EvinrudeJohnson 2+4 Fuel Conditioner following the instructions on the containerPrepare "storage mixture" of fuel in separate outboard six gallon fuel tankThe storage mixture should consist of: gallons (18.9 liter) of fuel; quarts (1.9 liter) of EvinrudeJohnson Storage Fogging Oil; 2.5 ounces (74 ml) of EvinrudeJohnson 2+4 Fuel Conditioner, and pint (473 ml) of EvinrudeJohnson outboard lubricantTemporarily connect fuel tank with storage mixture to the outboardShift the remote control to NEUTRAL and remove the propellerSTART outboard and RUN at IDLE speed for ten minutes to make sure the entire fuel system is filled with the storage mixtureSTOP outboardProceed with Internal Engine Treatment
Spinning the propeller while in forward or reverse could aCCidentally start the outboardRemove the propeller and put the engine in neutral during storage to prevent accidental start and personal injuryIf outboard is equipped with portable fuel tank,connect fuel hose from outboard and tank
