INSTALLATION AND PREDELIVERY INITIAL RUNNING CHECKS
System Check Operation
Attach emergency stop lanyardTurn key switch to ONObserve the System Check self-test functionThe warning horn should sound momentarily and all warning indicator lights should turn on simultaneously, then turn off one at time
Shift remote control lever to REVERSETurn outboard OFF while remote control is in REVERSEAttempt restarting the outboardOutboard should not start
Tachometer Pulse Setting
Confirm accuracy of tachometer reading Adjust dial on back of tachometer to required setting (outboard OFF)Model

Fuel System
Perform running checks of the fuel system by following these steps: Squeeze fuel primer bulb until hard or activate electric primerObserve all fuel hoses and connectionsRepair any leaks Start outboardVisually inspect all oil hoses and connections and fuel hoses and connectionsRepair any leaks or misrouted hoses immediately
