INSTALLATION AND PREDELIVERY OUTBOARD RIGGING PROCEDURE
Wiring Harness Connections

CAUTION

Before installing connectors, check that the seal is in placeClean off any dirt from connectors Apply light coat of Electrical Grease TM to the sealPush connectors together until latched
To prevent accidental starting while servicing, twist and remove all spark plug leadsProvide sufficient slack at outboard end to permit steering and tilting of outboard without binding cablesReposition fuel manifold to make room for the routing of electrical cablesSeal

Secure connectors in junction box by latching connector in slot of junction box
Remove fuel connector bracket and lay to the side of the lower engine coverRoute the instrument harness into lower motor coverPosition harness so it will not interfere with the upper motor cover when installedRoute the instrument harness to position where the connectors can be attached at the junction boxInstall protective plug (supplied with engine) on power trimtilt 3-pin connector on non-trim models
