MANUAL STARTER ASSEMBLY Install the rewind spring into the starter housingLocate the outer loop of the rewind spring on the pin in the starter housingPress down through the holes of the adapter release plate to transfer the rewind spring into the starter housingBend the inside loop of the rewind spring in toward the center of the starter housingEngage the pin of the pulley with the inner loop of the rewind spring and install the pulley in the starter housing12Outer loop Pin

Place the starter spring shield with holes onto the pulley
Lightly apply Tripe-Guard grease or Lubripate 777 to the spindle bushing and pawl pins on the pulleyInstall the bushing and the shim into the starter pulleyNext install the friction plate, links, and pawlsSecure the pawls with the retaining clipsLightly apply Tripe-Guard grease or Lubripate 777 to the spindleInstall the spindle, friction ring, and spring washer
