GEARCASE ASSEMBLY2530 Slide the reverse gear onto the propeller shaft

IMPORTANT: Make no dry assembliesLubricate all bearings, shafts, and gears with Utra-HPF gearcase lubricantOil and place the forward bearing cone and roller assembly in the forward bearing cup
Lightly apply Gasket Sealing Compound to the aft support flange of the propeller shaft bearing housingInstall the bearing housing into the gearcaseApply Gasket Sealing Compound to the threads of the bearing housing screwsInstall the screws and tighten to torque of 60 to 80 inIbs(7 to Nm)Install the driveshaftRotate the driveshaft to allow the splines in the pinion to engage the splines on the driveshaft
