Coat the shift rod a-ring with Tripe-Guard grease and install in shift rod bushingPlace new washer and bushing on Shift Rod Bushing Installer, PIN 304515Apply Gasket Sealing Compound to the outside diameter of the shift rod bushing Install new bushing a-ring in outer groove of bushing (2530HP models only
Forward Bearing
Remove the gearcase from the holding fixture, and place the nose of it on wooden block on the floorUse Drive Handle, PIN 311880, Bearing Cup Installer, PIN 319929, and mallet to drive the bearing cup into position in the gearcase housingOil the forward bearing cup and seat it firmly in the housing
