IGNITION IGNITION COIL Position Coil Locating Ring, PIN 334994, over machined bosses on the ignition platePush the locating ring in toward the component to be installedHold the ring in place and pull the component out toward the ringTighten screws to 15 to 22 inIbs(1.6 to 2.4 N.m)Do this step for each component installed

Remove the screws, coiland washers
IGNITION COIL
Removal
Twist and remove coverRemove the spark plug and primary leads from the ignition coils
Installation
Assemble the correct sequence of washers and locate the ignition coil on the powerheadInstall screws and torque to 48 to 96 inIbs(5.4 to 10.8 Nm)Apply light coating of Electrical Grease to the ribbed portion of the spark plug ceramics and to the openings of each of the spark plug lead coversInstall the spark plug leadsApply light coating of Electrical Grease to the opening of each primary lead cover and install the coversObserve proper wire routing and ignition timingOrangeblue primary lead must be connected to the number ignition coil
