Removal
WARNING
To prevent accidental starting while servicing, twist and remove all spark plug leads1Crankcase boss

Remove the screws retaining the ignition component that is being replaced47303

Apply Nut Lock to the threads of the five ignition plate screwsAlign the ignition plate with the retainer plateTorque the screws to 25 to 30 inIbs(2.8 to 4.0 Nm)1Charge coil Sensor coil
