ELECTRIC STARTER SERVICING
Removal
9.915 MODELS
IMPORTANT: Disconnect the battery cables at
the batteryRemove the two retaining screwsDisconnect the starter lead at the terminal on the bottom of the starterRemove rectifier from the starter bracket
Remove the screws and washers retaining the starter bracket to the side of the powerheadNote that the ground lead attaches to the lower screw and has lock washer
1Ground lead and lock washer
Remove the nut and washer retaining the starter bracket to the front of the powerheadLift the starter bracket from the powerhead1Screws 2Starter lead at terminal 3Rectifier
