What is most important?
Shock absorption system must always be ready to absorb some blows to the lower parts of the motor Motor must not trim in too far suddenly
What can happen?
Without shock protection, blow like this could cause serious damage to the motor and injury to boat occupants from the motor or its parts entering the boatTransom could break away and motor may be lost overboard
Boat may SINK
At high speeds, sudden trimming in too far may dive boat under water or spin it around
