Valve Lash Adjustment
IMPORTANT: Motor must be cold to adjust
valve lashValve lash adjustment must be made with motor in timed position as described in Timing Procedure, aboveSet tappets using Tappet Adjustment Tool, PIN 341444, and feeler gauge: Intake (upper rocker)0.003 in(0.08 mm) Exhaust (lower rocker)0.005 in(0.12 mm) Torque tappet nuts to 100 to 115 inIbs(11 to 13 Nm)
Apply Triple-Guard grease to new a-ring seal and install it outside of cover
Apply Ultra Lock to threads of reed stop screwInstall reed and reed stop and torque screw to 15 to 22 inIbs(1.7 to 2.5 Nm)
