FUEL SYSTEM CARBURETOR MIXTURE ADJUSTMENT
Installation
Connect carburetor throttle and choke linkagePosition new gasket on either side of the insulator and install on the intake manifoldInstall the carburetorTighten two retaining nuts securelyIf removed, install oil pressure sender wire on sender and cover with bootInstall air horn cover and tighten screws securelyInstall air horn and carburetor nipple hoses with tie strapsInstall manual starterSTARTER section Refer to

Face the steering handleTurn the idle speed adjustment knob counterclockwise to full SLOW speed position
Use Idle Adjustment Tool, PIN 910245, to adjust idle mixture
If the idle mixture needle has been disturbed, refer to CARBURETOR MIXTURE ADJUSTMENT

IMPORTANT: EPA emission regulation prohibits tampering with emission related adjustmentsAfter repair or replacement, the idle mixture adjustment procedure must be followedAfter final adjustment, the adjusting screw head must be concealed by filling cavity in cover with RTV silicone rubber adhesive sealantStart the engine and run it in FORWARD at onehalf throttleAllow the engine to reach normal operating temperatureIdle Adjustment Tool
