IGNITION SYSTEM TESTS Ohmmeter Ground Test To test for grounded condition, connect ohmmeter, alternately, between each jumper and clean engine ground Any needle movement indicates power coil or leads are grounded Locate and repair ground, or replace power coil
Voltmeter Output Test
Set peak-reading voltmeter to POS500Attach voltmeter black lead to one brown coil leadAttach meter red lead to the other brown coil lead

Disconnect two brown wire bullet connectors between coil assembly and power packSet peak-reading voltmeter to POS500Connect the meter black lead to clean engine groundAlternately connect meter red lead between the two brown coil leads
