Removal

Loosen throttle friction control so there is no restriction on grip
WARNING
IMPORTANT: Do not back screw out completelyNut is under spring tension
To avoid accidental starting of engine while servicing, twist and remove all spark plug leads
Remove the throttle cable connector nut and washer and the throttle cable anchor screw and washerThrottle friction control
Using Twist-Grip Remover, PIN 390767, depress the grip detentsTighten screw and remove the grip by pulling grip and turning the idle adjustment knob clockwiseConnector nut Cable anchor screw and washer
