POWERHEAD ASSEMBLY Remove rod caps and keep them identified by cylinder numberLubricate the crankpin bearing assemblies and connecting rods with EvinrudeJohnson Outboard Engine LubricantPlace one half of the bearing assemblies in each connecting rodLubricate threaded portion of number rod cap screws with EvinrudeJohnson Outboard Engine Lubricant and install rod cap

IMPORTANT: Make sure alignment dot on rod cap matches dot on rod
Gently lower the crankshaft and main bearing assembly into place Align upper O-ring in its groove Align main bearing with locating pin Install and align the lower crankcase head Carefully pull each connecting rod into place Install second half of each crankpin bearing
