IGNITION SYSTEM TESTS Locate and repair ground, or replace charge coil
Voltmeter Output Test
Set peak-reading voltmeter to POSS or SENS on Stevens CD-?? meterAttach voltmeter black lead to ignition plate connector, terminal "8 Attach meter red lead to terminal"C
Complete all circuits disconnected during this test
Sensor Coil Tests
Voltmeter Ground Test
Disconnect the AmphenoS-pin connectorSet peak-reading voltmeter to POSS or SENS on Stevens CD-?? meterAlternately connect voltmeter red lead to sensor coil terminals "8" and "c" and black lead to clean engine groundCrank engine and observe meter at each connectionAny reading indicates sensor coil or leads are grounded Locate and repair ground, or replace sensor coil If no reading is indicated, go to Voltmeter Output TestCrank engine and observe meter At minimum of 1S0 RPM, if meter shows 1.S or higher, go to Cranking Output Test If meter shows less than 1.S V, check condition of wiring and connectors If wiring and connector condition is good, go to Ohmmeter Continuity Test
