Before beginning assembly, refer to CLEANING AND INSPECTIONUsing Bearing remover and Installer, PIN 392091, oil drive bearing into the gearcase bearing housingthe lettered side of the bearing must face the tool to prevent damage to the bearing
To install new lower driveshaft bearing, assemble the components of the Driveshaft Bearing Remover and Installer, PIN 392092 (Rod, Guide Plate, Pin, and Small Disc with concave side toward bearing)Place the lettered side of the bearing toward the small discUsing mallet, drive the bearing until it is seated

Oil and install new O-ring into shift rod bushingAssemble the Bushing Installer to the Rod (components of the Driveshaft Bearing Remover and Installer, PIN 392092)Place the bushing onto the Installer with the O-ring downApply AdhesIve sealant to the outside of the bushingUsing mallet, drive the bushing into the gearcase until seated
