POWERHEAD ASSEMBLY3.5 Thoroughly clean and degrease the crankcase mating flange of the cylinder block with Cleaning Solvent and let air dryApply Locquic Primer to the mating flange of the crankcase and let air dryLower the crankcase into place and align the guide bushingLightly coat threads of the six main bearing screws with Gel-Seal II sealantTighten the screws to torque of 90 to 120 inIbs(10 to 14 Nm)
Apply Gel-Seal II sealant to the cylinder block flangeThe application must cover the flange evenly and consistently without being excessiveThe application must not come within 14 in(6 mm) of the bearings
Install the crankcase headLightly coat threads of the two crankcase head screws with Gasket Sealing CompoundTorque screws to 60 to 84 in Ibs (7 to Nm)
