FUEL SYSTEM CARBURETOR CLEANING AND INSPECTION
Inspection
Inspect carburetor body and float bowl Gasket surfaces must be smoothno nicks or irregularities All nozzles, metal orifices and pickup tubes must be secure and in place Check throttle plate for looseness or incorrect seating (68 models) Check throttle body and shaft for excessive wear (68 models)Inspect float valve and seat assembly for wear or distortionReplace assembly if damage is noted Check the inlet needle tip for grooves, nicks, scratches, or distortion Check float valve seat for nicks, scratches, or distortion Check float for signs of oil or gasoline saturation
