IGNITION IGNITION TESTS68 If meter shows low reading, repair or replace engine harness If the engine fails to shut off, test for open blackyellow lead, blackwhite lead, damaged key switch, or damaged power pack
Output Test
Set peak-reading voltmeter to "NEG" and "500 Attach voltmeter black lead to ignition plate connector, terminal "A Attach meter red lead to terminal "D Crank engine and observe meter1Key switch pin connector 2Instrument harness pin connector
Complete all circuits disconnected during this test
Results:
If meter shows 150 or higher, go to Sensor Coil Test If meter shows less than 150 V, check condition of wiring and connectors If wiring and connector condition is good, go to Ohmmeter Tests
